Jim Swofford
I am a member of a very large family of 9 brothers and sisters. My mom raised all of us on her own as our father died tragically at a very young age. I am married to the love of my love Marie for the past 32 years. We have 3 kids that we are very proud of and 3 grandchildren we adore.
I like all sports but love baseball.
I played collegiate baseball and coached college baseball at the community college level. I've also coached at Curtis High School and have many years of experience.
I have found that I have a knack for coaching kids to play winning baseball. My 2013 team at the 13-u level just completed a season of 71 wins / 9 loss /1 tie record to include State Champs and a World Series Championship at The San Diego Extreme. I ref basketball at all levels and enjoy the interaction between the coach's and the players. Lastly you cannot be a true Seattle fan without loving your Seahawks and Mariners! David Stern bring back my Sonics!!!
I have worked in The Puget Sound area all my life. I have worked for Domino's Pizza in all capacity's to include my own Franchise. I worked a few years for Subway SW as an Operations Manager which I enjoyed very much. I just completed 17 years with The News Tribune progressing from a customer service rep. to District Manager to Branch Manager to eventually being an Independent Operator of my own 20 plus zip code area for delivery services. I am very grateful to the people I met / worked with / and the friendships I made during my 17 years with this company.
I work at Pittsburgh Glass Works and have coached with TBC since 2023
